Once the game is over, I might play Darkspawn Chronicles if I feel like it, but I usually don't-sometimes I'll play up to killing the people who annoy the hell out of me in-game, but I exit out before I have to kill my sweet, sweet puppy. Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, and Return to Ostagar are best played in-game, but I'm probably different from most in that I wait a while to play them-I like to have Oghren available as a party member for "acquiring" Shale, and I dislike having the Ash Wraith codex pop up prior to doing the Urn of Sacred Ashes, so I generally get Oghren and then, instead of going into the Deep Roads immediately, leave and go start the Urn quest until I've cleared the first part of the temple.Īfter that, I get Shale, do WK for the storage space, slog through RtO, then go with whatever main quest I feel like handling first. It's been said, but Leliana's Song is very much a prequel, however it's best to actually know her personal quest details prior to going into it-turns out Leliana is a tiny bit of an unreliable narrator as well, although why she glossed over/tweaked some of the "events" in the main game is perfectly understandable.
